About

Our horse and animal programs  at the Telemark Inn Wilderness Lodge and New England Riding and Carriage Driving are exceptional because our approach to working with the animals is very different. They are not only well cared for, but also well understood. Learning about the essence of the animal itself and how it perceives and interacts with the world around it, is an important part of animal training, horseback riding, dogsledding or any other animal/person interrelationship. Learning how to read animals is an art form, and can make us feel more connected to Nature and to the world around us. To truly connect with an animal, we try to leave our egos behind, and relate to the animal on their own terms in a language they can understand. Learning to get out of our own heads and into the animal’s can be a liberating experience, and offers an opportunity to go beyond the confines of our human-centric universe.
Spending lots of time outdoors in Nature is not something that many of us do any more…our schedules are too hectic, our kids spend too much time on the computer, watching TV, texting, facebooking, twittering away. So after reviewing this blog and goiing thru our websites – then start your migration up to the country to reconnect  with nature and therefore yourself.   All is one…   The tree the forest the llama   the hummingbird , the horse, the husky  oh the husky..    the breath of a puppy can heal the savaged soul,  it did ours!
